Wauconda School District 118 PTO and the Cotton Creek School PTO (a sub-chapter of Wauconda School District 118 PTO) is a volunteer-led group of parents, guardians, teachers and staff dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of every student. By organizing community events, supporting teachers, and funding vital school resources, we strive to create a vibrant and supportive environment. Your involvement—whether through volunteering your time, attending meetings, or participating in fundraisers—makes a direct impact on our school’s success. Together, we can achieve great things for our children!

- Entrance Window Wraps: Funded to provide privacy and an extra layer of security at our school’s main entryway.
- Gymnasium Scooters: Upgrading physical education equipment to support active, safe play.
- Digital Campus Sign: Streamlining school-to-home communication with real-time, digital community updates.
- Music Classroom Rug: Provided a vibrant learning rug to define student seating areas and absorb sound during music lessons.
- Library Media Center Shelving: Modernizing student book storage to improve organization and accessibility.

Staff Appreciation:
- Welcome Back Lunch: The day before school starts the PTO provides a “Back to School” lunch for the staff.
- Monthly Staff Appreciation Days: Once a month the PTO provides a treat or gift to help celebrate the amazing staff at Cotton Creek
- Parent/Teacher Conferences: During parent-teacher conferences the PTO provides a lunch for the staff.
- Teacher Appreciation Week: The PTO provides a staff meal, candy bar and other fun treats.
- Last Day of School: The PTO provides drinks and desserts to celebrate a successful school year.
Ice Cream Days: 1st Friday of every month, students are able to get an ice cream treat (Dean’s ice cream sandwich or “Popsicle” brand fruit bar) during lunch. The ice cream is 50¢ per student.

Pencil Box: Students are able to purchase various school supplies at a reduced price. An order form is sent home each month before the sale. Items range from 25¢-$5 in price.

Book Fairs: These are one of our most profitable fundraisers, and earns many books for our library.

Holiday Shop: Students and their families visit the Holiday Shop on a Saturday to purchase gifts for their family members. Gift prices range from $1-$10. All presents come home wrapped and tagged the day they shop.
